Norma Gonzales Palacios

Our beloved mother, wife, and grandmother, Norma Christine Gonzales, also known as Norma Palacios, was finally set free of her earthly body and became free from pain and disease on June 03, 2023.

She was born May 30th, 1952, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Erminia and Eduvigio Gonzales.

Norma was known for her big heart and could always keep the conversation entertaining. Her generosity was appreciated and enjoyed by her loved ones. Norma was always smiling and laughing. She enjoyed taking trips to Wendover, dancing, watching the Price is Right, and being in the company of her family & friends.

She is survived by her loving husband, Miguel Palacios, who referred to Norma as his "chaparita", Her three son's, Louie Lopez, Christopher (Lori) Lopez, Albert (Anna) Lopez, Daughter Isabela (Chavela) Palacios, Son in law Juan Barajas & Erika Palacios and her beloved dog, Chula Palacios. Sister Ruth (Alberto) Lezalde, Sister Annette Gonzalez and Brother, Bill Gonzales. Grandchildren, Olivia (Robert), Ariana, Maddie, Jeremy, Skyler, Navarro, Austin, Carlos, Valerie, Jazmyn, Jayden, Anthony, Giselle, Luna, Alexander and Dominick. Great Grandchildren Cameron and Elijah and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Norma is preceded in death by her Mother, Erminia (Mary) Gurule Gonzales her Father, Eduvigio (Eddie) Gonzales, Sister, Joan Gonzales, Brother, Larry Gonzales, Grandson, Donaven Lopez, Sister in law Kaye Gonzales, Mother in law, Margarita Morales, Gregorio Palacios, Azusena Palacios, Berenice Torres, Arturo Torres, Annikka Rose and Patricia Earl.

We will miss Norma immensely but are comforted knowing that we will see her again. 

A viewing for Norma will be held Thursday, June 8, 2023, from 6 to 8 PM at the Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St., Midvale, UT.
 
Funeral services to honor Norma’s life will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 624 W. Lennox Street, Midvale, Utah.
