Norma Florence Bramall

Norma Florence Nielson Bramall's spirit departed her mortal body on April 22, 2021. Her earthly journey began in Gunnison, Sanpete County, Utah on November 1, 1936. She was the eldest of two children born to Elden Jens Nielson and Ann Nola Robinson Pay and graduated from Juab High School in Nephi, Utah. The pinnacles of her life were meeting, dating, falling in love with, becoming engaged to, and waiting two years for Max Lavell Bramall while he served a mission in Canada. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on September 29, 1955.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in several positions as a member of the ward Genealogy Committee, as a Sunday School and Primary Teacher, and as a Den Mother in Cub Scouts (where she and her husband Max received a District Award of Merit). She was also a secretary to the ward presidents in Princeton Ward Sunday School, Primary, Young Women, and Relief Society organizations. Norma was a faithful Relief Society Visiting Teacher and also was a Stake Missionary in the Salt Lake Park and Nephi North Stakes, and had the privilege of accompanying her husband, Max, for a Humanitarian Service Mission assignment in Totonicapán, Guatemala in 1995.

Norma also served as a Confidential Secretary to two Stake Presidents in the Salt Lake Park Stake (Louis Roos and Frederick Green) and was employed by Dun and Bradstreet in Salt Lake City and El Paso, Texas. She was employed by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for a combined total of 36 years and was an active member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers since she joined in 1984.

Her greatest pleasures included: being with her family as often as possible; making cookies; collecting poems and stories; writing letters and sending cards to family and friends, and taking snapshots and preserving them in loose-leaf binders for her own enjoyment as well as for future generations. Last but not least, Norma enjoyed planting and taking care of flowers as well as fruit and vegetables in her garden.

Norma is survived by her husband Max and her two sons, Gordon F. (Cherilyn) and Daniel W. (Deborah) Bramall. Max and Norma have seven grandchildren: Lea (Timothy) Flinders, Joseph (Vanessa), Sarah, Rebecca, G. Max, Laura, and Zachary Bramall; and eleven great-grandchildren: William, Joshua, and Elizabeth Willden; Elcee, Carter, and Carl Lavell Flinders; Braxten, Cade, Dylan, Alexis Bramall; and Ryker Bramall. Norma also leaves behind her brother Robert J. (Charlene) Nielson and her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ann Nola Robinson Nielson Pay, and her fathers Elden Nielson and Jesse Eugene Pay.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 26th in the Nephi 9th Ward building located at 1125 North, Nephi Utah. A viewing will be held at 10 am that morning, and the funeral will follow at 11 am. Interment will be at the Vine Bluff Cemetery in Nephi, Utah.
