Nola Jean Buttars

Nola Jean (Doty) Buttars passed away peacefully Sept. 2, 2018 with her family beside her. She was born August 25th, 1935 to Charles Arthur and Loretta (Warby) Doty. She married Sterling Mecham Park on April 29, 1956, later divorced. She married Sherwin Buttars in 1974. She was later sealed to Sterling and her children in the Salt Lake Temple.

She is survived by her son Craig Park, seven grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first and second husbands, children: Alden Gene Park, Bryant Scot Park, Darren John Park (stillborn), Elena Park, and Diana Park (stillborn).

Nola worked in the Jordan School District Accounting Department until 1999. She was a very detailed person who loved to crochet, cross stitch, paint ceramics and gardening. She also enjoyed reading historical fiction, church history, spending time with her family and loved ones. She will be greatly missed by all those who loved her.

Funeral services will be held at Mt. Jordan 7th Ward located at 235 East 9800 South, Sandy, UT on Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held at Goff Mortuary located at 8090 S. State, Midvale, on Monday, Sept. 10 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and also one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be at Midvale City Cemetery, next to her son Alden.
