Nick Ignat Boman, 25, passed away on February 18, 2016. Friends and those close to him called him NIKO, a nickname that he chose for himself. Niko was born in Moscow, Russia on 11/6/1990. He immigrated to the US with his mother Galina as a small child. Niko graduated from West High school with straight A's. He then pursued his dream of becoming a scientist at the University of Utah as a biology major with a minor in Chemistry.
Niko had an open mind and was always searching for answers. His very best friend Daniel called him "a walking encyclopedia." Niko was incredibly passionate and loved with all his heart, giving all of himself to those that he loved. He never judged anyone and forgave easily with an open heart.
Survived by his mother, Galina Greer; brother, Alexander Boman; father, Milton Boman; step father, David Greer; girlfriend and love of his life, Nicole Lopez; grandmothers, Galina Mott and Gen Boman; grandfather, Valery Kotelnikov; aunt, Anna Kotelnikova and many close friends and family members. We love you Niko, rest in peace.
Respects can be paid on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 6-8 pm at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah.
