Nancy Gayle Owens Ashcraft (1947-2016) Loving Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Best Friend. She was loved by all and loved all for who they are. Nancy gained her wings November 14, 2016, at the age of 69, after a courageous 9 year battle with Cancer. Born October 14, 1947 in Pocatello, Idaho to Glenn S and Marian Rosella Owens. She grew up In Pocatello Idaho, with her two brothers, Scott and Kelly, along with the 2 sisters she chose to bring into her life when she was only 9 years old, Jan and Shirlene. Nancy attended both Pocatello High and Highland High Schools. She married Lawrence B Ashcraft, January 4, 1969, they were later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple, August 11, 1970. Together, they have 7 loving children. She greatly enjoyed her family and was completely in love with her 31 Beautiful Grandchildren, but was even more excited for her first great grandson. She dedicated her life to supporting her family and raising her children. Nancy loved to travel, to many places, with her family and friends, Kauai, Vail, Lava, Europe, Brazil, Island Park. Preceded in death by her Parents, Glenn and Marian Owens, Vernia and Verna Ashcraft Brothers Boyd Ashcraft, Cecil Billings, Sisters Shirlene Walker, Leara Ashcraft, Verlamae Ashcraft, Helen Ashcraft. Survived by loving husband, Lawrence, children, Anthony (Katheryn) Ashcraft, Tracy (JR Myers) Ashcraft, Misty (Garret) Witkamp, Justin (Martianne) Ashcraft, Samuel (Susan) Ashcraft, Elizabeth Paige (Bryce) Stanley and Daniel (Ariane) Ashcraft. Brothers Scott (Linda) and Kelly (Laurel) Owens, Glenn (LaLamae) Ashcraft, Don (Joyce) Ashcraft, Grant (Dorothy) Ashcraft, Reed (Annalee) Ashcraft, Sisters Jan (Chris)Mickelsen, Kathryn Billings, Lucille (Irvin) Higley as well as many beloved grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. There will be a viewing held Friday Evening, November 18th, from 6-8 pm at the Sugarhouse Ward, located at 1621 S 1100 E. Funeral Services to be held Saturday November 19th, 11:00 am, also at the Sugarhouse Ward, with Graveside Services following at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
