Our Mother, Sister and Friend, Nada Ruth (Rusty) Throckmorton, at the age of 83, left this earth, but not our hearts, on February 20, 2018.
Rusty was born on November 7, 1934 to Lewis H. and Valeta Hansen Anderson, in Murray, Utah. She was the fifth child of seven. She was raised along with her brothers and sisters in Midvale, Utah.
She married Donald M. Throckmorton in Elko, Nevada on July 31, 1954. They were married 57 years and 5 months. They had three children: Barry (son), Kelly (son), and Sheri (daughter).
Rusty and Don lived in Copperton, Utah for 8 years and then they moved to Midvale, Utah, back to her home town, where she resided for 55 years.
Rusty worked at the Copperton Confectionary, the Bingham Canyon Telephone Office, for the Jordan School District, as a secretary at Jordan High School, West Jordan High School and Bingham Middle School, retiring after 20 years of service.
Rusty loved to travel with Don and many friends to wonderful new places and visiting new countries. She enjoyed numerous cruises and spending time in all 50 states.
She looked forward to her monthly lunches with her girl school chums and the weekly dinner and playing cards with dear friends Darlene, Pat, Marge and Francis.
Rusty was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held various callings.
She is survived by her son Kelly, daughter Sheri, two brothers, Richard D. Anderson (Peggy), Norman D. Anderson, one sister, Leda M. Mlack (Russ), many nieces and nephews, and many treasured friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Goff Mortuary, located at 8090 South State Street, Midvale, Utah, with a viewing one hour prior to the funeral. There will also be a viewing on Monday, February 26, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
