Morris Leon Jenkins, 83, passed away on April 6, 2015 in South Jordan, Utah. He was born on January 15, 1932 in Victor, Idaho to Samuel Edward and Mamie Leona Koehn Jenkins.
Morris married Mary Deane Crump on July 5, 1952 in Elko, Nevada. She preceded him in death; he couldn't wait to dance with her again.
He played basketball for Jordan High School for one year and then served in the United States Air Force. In high school and in the service, he enjoyed boxing. Morris was the superintendent for the Fur Breeders Co-Op for 37 years.
He was a wonderful father and friend. Morris was a very giving person, especially when it came to children, his own and everybody else's. He impacted the lives of all he came in contact with.
Survived by his children, Chris (Alyson) Jenkins, JoDeane (James) Lee and Todd (Laura) Jenkins; 20 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 4 sisters-in-law and 1 brother-in-law.
Preceded in death by his wife, Mary; his parents; grandchildren, Todd James, Shaney and Shayla Lee, Halle and Noah Jenkins; 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2015 at the Sandy City Cemetery, 9000 S. 700 E. A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah.
