Mont W. Deming

Mont Wayne Deming, 86, our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away May 10, 2018 at the Alta Ridge Assisted Living Center, after a valiant struggle with pain and short term memory loss. Mont was born January 10, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Wayne LaMar and Melba Whitmore Deming. He married Mary Loulias on Sept 14, 1953 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Provo Utah LDS Temple.

Mont was a graduate of the University of Utah and served two years in the Army at the Chemical Corp at Dugway Proving Grounds in Utah. He was an avid reader and had a quick wit. Mont worked at Sperry Univac for many years. Mont was an avid golfer and enjoyed his association with his golfing buddies, Karl, Dave and Ralph.

Survivors: wife, Mary; son, Rick (Polly); grandchildren, Jared Deming (Rena), Sydney Deming, Megan Deming, Michael (Danielle) Deming; great grandchildren, Nathaniel, Miley, Cooper, Emma, Macklin; sister, Barbara Gardner.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Indian Ridge LDS Ward Chapel, 9556 S 1700 E, Sandy, Utah. A viewing will be held Monday, May 14, 2018 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State, from 6-8 pm and again on Tuesday at the church from 9:45-10:45 am. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.

The family expresses thanks to Lisa and the ladies who cared for Mont at Alta Ridge Assisted Living.
