Mona Fife Buma

On March 23rd, 2017, I returned to my heavenly home, to be united with my loving Heavenly Father. I was greeted by many family members, loved ones, and friends who had passed on before me.  I am now at peace, having finished my earthly testing estate.

I was born unto goodly parents Merlin Dean Fife and Ida Poole in Rigby, ID.  Our family moved to Midvale, UT when I was very young, and I lived most of my life in and around the Midvale area.

I was blessed to have three sisters and two brothers; I am the third child of six.  I have three lovely, caring daughters who have always been by my side. I have two very special grandsons, I love them all so very much with all my heart.  I look forward to greeting and being with each of them as each finish their mortal estate.

Some of the things I enjoyed doing in my life are: Spending time with my children and other loved ones, reading, spiritual music, crafts, nature, sketching, and learning and living the gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  I love my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ with all my heart, mind and soul. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have served in the Relief Society, Sunday school, as a primary teacher, a visiting teacher, and other callings.

I am survived by my daughters Cheri (Kyle) Luke of WVC, UT, Robyn (Richard) Knowley of Midvale, UT, and Tawnya (Jim) Chapman of Orem, UT, by two grandsons, Jeremy Stark of Midvale, UT and Martin (Erin) Speters of Cottonwood Heights, UT, by my sister Susan (Boyd) Price of Sandy UT, and by my brothers Dean (Carolyn) Fife of SLC, UT, and Terry (Donetta) Fife of Lewisville, ID.

I was preceded in death by my parents and sisters Joyanne (John) Bills and LaRae (LaMonte) Cottle.

I love you all!

Mona's family would like to give special thanks to Meadow Brook Rehab and Nursing and to Envision Home Health & Hospice for their care and help during Mona's stay.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017 at the Sandy City Cemetery, 9000 South 700 East. A visitation will be held prior from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street.
