Mike Inselsberger, age 71, passed away peacefully at home on September 21, 2022 of heart failure in Midvale, Utah. He was born August 25, 1951 in Brooklyn, New York to Michael L. and June Inselsberger. Family and friends will forever remember Mike as the most giving and loving person there is. Whether it was showing up first thing in the morning with his tool box and a smile on his face ready to help repair whatever needed fixing, spending a Sunday showing his grandchildren how to woodwork, sharing stories and memories from his youth at family dinners, giving a handmade personalized pen for special occasions, or simply starting a conversation with whoever was nearby. Mike showed love to everyone.
After moving from New York to Utah with his father at age 5, Mike began a life of discovery and adventure. He cherished walking hand-in-hand with his grandfather downtown and admiring architecture; spending time on the boy’s ranch where he learned to farm, raise animals, and play basketball. Later he was stationed in Germany while he served in the Army and learned about his German ancestry. He treasured meeting Harrison Ford while working for ADT; and finally meeting the love of his life, Connie, in 1999. Though Mike is no longer with us, he will never be forgotten as the kind, loving, and generous person he was.
Mike is survived by his wife Connie, and her children Shelly (Gil) McDougald, Chris (Caelee) Opheikens, and Tory (Adam) Myszkowski; grandchildren Kylie, Allie, Abbigale, Whitney, Samantha, Justice, Peyton, and Logan; his sons Brandon (Alisha) Inselsberger, Kyle (Tristyn) Inselsberger, and Quinton (Jacki) Inselsberger and their children. He is preceded in death by his parents, and daughter, Chelley.
Family would like to extend their greatest gratitude and appreciation to Suncrest Hospice for their compassion, respect, and tender care of Mike. The viewing is on Wednesday, September 28th from 9:30 to 10:30 am at Goff Mortuary in Midvale followed by the graveside service at 11:00 am.
