Michael Charles William Probert was born to Leslie and Guy Probert on November 4, 1982 in Canberra, Australia.
From the time Michael was a young boy, he could pick out which instruments were playing in a piece of classical music without being taught. That was the beginning of a life long passion for classical music and composers.
Michael had an amazing testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He had a profound love of the scriptures and a powerful testimony of Joseph Smiths First Vision and the Restoration of the Gospel. He talked often about what it would be like to see Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again.
Michael loved people and left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Michael always dreamed of being able to serve a mission but was unable to. He loved being able to serve the missionaries at the MTC by working in the dishroom. Michael also loved participating in many activities provided by RAH, an organization that serves adults with disabilities.
Michael loved the Utah Jazz, Disney princesses, Star Wars, Davy Crockett, and stories of George Washington and the American Revolution. He loved to role play and would often go outside after watching a movie to reenact in full voice what he had just watched complete with costume and all required artillery. As a dear neighbor so elequently put it, "whether he was Captain Moroni, Luke Skywalker, or leading the Mormon Battalion, somehow I always felt safer watching Michael stand up for goodness."
Michael passed away peacefully on March 11, 2020.
