Michael B. Mcneil

April 5, 1949 — April 5, 2017

Michael B. Mcneil

Our beloved husband, dad & grandpa graduated to the next life on his 68th birthday April 5, 2017 in Murray, UT. He was born on April 5, 1949 in Salt Lake City and was raised by Sheldon L. and Marjorie E. Angell in White City.

Dad graduated from Jordan High School in 1967. Upon graduation from high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy from which he was honorably discharged in 1973. He graduated from the University of Utah in 1979 with a Bachelor's degree in Business & Accounting.

Dad exemplified an amazing work ethic while working as an accountant for many years. When not at work, he was an avid sports fan both participating in and cheering on a variety of sports (GO UTES!). He was an active member of the LDS church serving in a variety of callings.

Dad was sealed to his eternal companion, Diane, in the Provo LDS Temple on January 18, 1974. They raised 3 beautiful daughters in the Salt Lake Valley settling in the Crescent area of Sandy in 1985. In 2000, dad welcomed his "adopted" fourth daughter into the family. Dad's greatest joy in life was his family always supporting "his girls" in their endeavors.

Dad is survived by his wife, Diane, and daughters Sherilyn, Allyson (Mark) Nelson, Janalyn and Kara (Tyson) Sawyer. Grandkids Jintelle, Russell, Kameron, Emily, Lexi & Ethan. His mother, Marjorie Angell, brothers Craig McNeil, Kent (Holly) Angell, Doug (Carrie) Angell and Scott (Judy) Angell and sister JoAnn (Darren) Green. Along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by father, Sheldon L. Angell, parents-in-law Cleon R. & Lois Sheriff & brother-in-law Richard Sheriff.
