Michael Anthony Lopez, 61, of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away March 6, 2016. He was born January 30, 1955 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Benceslado and Elizaida Lopez. He grew up in Lark and Midvale, Utah. He graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1973. He was employed by the U. S Postal Office in West Jordan, Utah and subsequently retired.

He is survived by his sons Eric (Jenae) and Aaron (Kimberly), grandchildren Jason, Gabriella, Aria, Landon, Bryson and Stella, all from Colorado. He is survived by siblings Genevieve Quintana, Edward (Theresa), Bernice Martinez, Benceslado (Charlene), Robert, Lucy Wright, and Edna Downing (Steve). He is preceded in death by his son Barry, parents Benceslado and Elizaida, brothers Joe, Adelaido, Manuel, and sister Edelia (Rudy) Romero.

In his youth, Mike played little league baseball and football. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Mountain View Golf Association. He enjoyed the Utes, Utah Jazz, and trips to Wendover. They did not compare to his following of the Oregon Ducks. He will be remembered as a color coordinated "Duck" fan. His greatest treasure in life was his three boys and grandchildren.

A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2016, with Rosary starting at 7 p.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church, 624 W. Lennox St., Midvale. A Mass will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., with a viewing one hour prior to Mass at the church. Burial will be at the West Jordan City Cemetery.
