. It's with heavy hearts we write this today. Michael Kent Orr (Gus) was a loved son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. Friday, June 12th, 2015, Michael very unexpectedly passed away during heart surgery, despite hard working doctors, Mikes big heart was just too tired and needed rest. He's now reunited with his parents, Milton Dean and Dottie and RC, his older brother, Craig, his brother in law, Jack, father in law Columbus and his granddaughter, Audrey. Survived by his two sisters, Connie and Debbie, his wife of 24 years, Shanon, 3 children, Brandon, Derick and Chaunte, and seven grandchildren, Mystical, Jaysen, Macey, Brandon Jr, Braxton, Lily and Antonia, his in laws, Dona, Laura and Dennis, his brother in law, Richard, Tony, his sister in law Riki, his daughter in laws, Randee, Zoe and Crystal, his son in law, Anthony and his many nieces and nephews who love Uncle Mike. Michael is loved and will be missed by everyone who knows him; he was a giving friend, a helpful neighbor, and a father to so many. He worked and played hard, it was never a dull moment when Mike was around; his sarcastic remarks, his jokes. He loved working in his yard, building things, his dogs and spending time with friends and family. Mike gave anything and everything he could to those around him who needed it and stepped up to a lot of plates that weren't his. He probably never even knew just how important he was to a lot of people and never realized just how amazing his actions were. Michael didn't want a formal service or funeral so, at his request, the family will be holding a Memorial party, Monday, July 13th, his and Shanon's 24th wedding anniversary. The celebration will be held from 2pm until 8pm in the West Pavilion in Magna park, 8941 west. 2600 South, Magna, UT. Join us for food, stories and, if you'd like, bring your favorite beer to join in a toast to Michael. We are so sorry for everyone's loss. But, remember, Michael was all about the bright side and remembering the great times.
