Michael J. Kelley, 62, of South Jordan, peacefully went to the Lord surrounded by family on January 17, 2017. Michael was born in Canton, Ohio to Richard William Kelley and Kathleen Ann McCue Weiss, who preceded him in death. Michael is also preceded in death by sister Troi Brown. He graduated from Canton Central Catholic High School in 1972, then attended the Ohio State University, graduating from the School of Pharmacy in 1977. Later, he earned his MBA from Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School of Management in 1998.
Michael and Christy Lyn Horvath were married on May 2, 1992. Their family includes sons Logan Thomas, Sean David, Andrew Michael (Ashley), and grandchildren Haydenn, Bryson and Paityn. Michael loved the outdoors and enjoyed time fishing for Rainbow Trout at Yuba State Park, boating at Utah Lake, exploring Antelope Island, and walking with his beloved Labrador Retrievers in Butterfield Canyon. He loved spending time with his boys stargazing through their high-powered telescope. He enjoyed hosting family from out-of-state and showing them the beautiful canyons, lakes and valleys of the area. Michael also loved anything to do with history, science, technology and music.
Michael is also survived by his sister Dr. Michele Kelley of Chicago, and brothers Bradley Kelley (Patricia) of San Jose, California, and Bart Weis (Kerri) of Canton, Ohio, along with dear Aunt Jeanne and Aunt Rosemary of Hartville, Ohio, his father-in-law John Horvath of North Canton, Ohio and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family who will truly miss his love, his support, his humor and his company.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 21 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 8892 W State Hwy, Copperton, UT 84006, with family condolences at 1:00 pm and Mass at 2:00 pm officiated by Father David Trujillo. Following the Mass, burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 275 T St. in Salt Lake City.
