Merrill Everett Rees, 60, passed away September 4, 2021 in Salt Lake City, UT. He was born on March 16, 1961 in Mt. Pleasant, UT. Merrill was the son of Thomas and Lucile Rees.
Merrill enjoyed all things outdoors. He loved getting together with his family or friends to go camping, hunting or fishing. Camouflage was a consistent pattern in his closet. He was a welder for quite a bit of his career and enjoyed fabricating custom pieces for others. Merrill also loved to spend time cutting intricate designs on his scroll saw and turning them into beautiful pieces to hang on the wall.
Merrill's grandchildren were the light of his life. He loved to hear stories of their daily lives and his eyes would light up whenever they were near.
He is survived by his brother, Clint Strate; his daughters, Louisa Noone, Anna (Dean) Holden and Katie Roman; 8 grandchildren, Destany Brown, Tanyon (Fallon) Miller, Nyla Black, Kayden Holden, Liam Holden, Kaisley Holden, Binley Roman and baby on the way.
Merrill's wish was to be cremated with his ashes spread at home in Wales Canyon.
