Merl William Hooser, 92, passed away February 20, 2015 at Assisted Living of Draper. He was born April 24, 1922 in Akron, Colorado. Married Marie Palmer on August 28, 1946 in West Jordan, Utah.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Merl served in the US Army during WWII. He worked at the Lark Mine and owned and operated the Hooser Mobile Park in Sandy, Utah. Merl and Marie were snowbirds in Yuma, Arizona for many years.
Survived by his children, Nancy (Ron) Neil, Jay (Marjean), Don (Patty), Merl (Kelly), Scott (Karren), daughter-in-law, Bonnie; 58 grandchildren, 80 great-grandchildren. Preceded by a son, Dayton and grandsons, Shaun and Matt.
The family wishes to thank Assisted Living of Draper, Janet Harris, RN and Dr. Leigh Ann Garcia, for their exceptional care of Merl and Marie.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 28 at 11:00 a.m. at the Oquirrh 1st Ward, 12830 South 2700 West, Riverton, where there will be a viewing from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment, South Jordan City Cemetery.
