Our beloved daughter, sister, wife, mom, and niece left our family too early on April 8, 2021.
McKinzy Bergan Evans was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on 6/16/1986 at St. Marks Hospital to Matthew K. Evans and Susie L. Pearson - Evans. McKinzy grew up in Sandy City, Utah.
McKinzy was exceptional at all things. In her youth she loved to read, study, play the flute, snowboard at Brighton Ski Resort, vacation with family and friends at Lake Powell & Disneyland. She especially liked going to the family cabin every summer. She enjoyed the young women's group as they camped and had weekly activities. She enjoyed spending time with her grandparents, we were a very close knit family and did everything together.
She graduated from Alta High School 2004 with a 4.0 GPA. She attended Snow College obtaining her Associates of Science Degree 2006. Studied at the University of Utah where she graduated with her Bachelors of Exercise Physiology 2008. She was accepted at Northern Arizona University Doctorate program graduating May 15, 2011 with her Physical Therapy Degree. She achieved her life long goal of becoming a Doctor at the age of 25. She absolutely loved to serve and heal others.
McKinzy met Jeff Bath while attending Snow College. They were married October 11, 2007.
Together they have two darling girls Aubrie Lynn and Brynnley Madison. They have enjoyed family life in South Jordan City. They loved family vacations to Disneyland, Newport Beach, California and camping.
McKinzy absolutely lived for her two little girls. She enjoyed every day and celebrated each milestone. She is now their personal guardian angel at their side forever. She enjoyed helping the girls learn, grow, play and explore. She loved to teach, do homework and read together. McKinzy loved to go shopping and find good deals, she enjoyed going to concerts with her husband and eating Chinese food.
McKinzy was passionate about working at Registered Physical Therapy (RPT) in South Jordan, Utah. She loved her co-workers and her patients. She took a vested interest in each patient and studied extra to identify the best possible treatment plan. She became a hand specialist and was proud to have achieved her dream job.
Upon the birth of her daughter Brynnley it was discovered McKinzy had ovarian cancer. She fought cancer with every fiber of her being for six years. She displayed courage, strength, endurance and was medically tenacious. She never lost faith in her Father in Heaven and was an inspiration to all.
McKinzy is survived by her husband Jeff Bath, Aubrie Bath and Brynnley Bath, parents Matt and Susie Evans, (Brother) Sterling Grant Evans & Amanda Marse Evans, (Sister) Shannon Evans-Nielsen & Joe Nielsen, (In Laws) Karen and Allen Bath, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Uncles, Aunts, (Grandparents) Carolyn and Joe Pearson & Grandma Joan Evans.
