Max Lorenzo Hansen, 82, passed away March 23, 2017. He was born in Fountain Green, Utah on September 5, 1934 to Robert Earl and Francell Larson Hansen. He attended school in Fountain Green and Moroni, Utah. Max will always be remembered as an extremely kind, generous and compassionate man. Whenever he learned of someone in need, whatever it may have been, he was there for them, to help in any way he could, and he would share his last dollar if he thought they needed it. He was loved and respected by his many friends and associates.
Max joined the military as a young man and he felt honored and very proud to serve his country as a United States Marine. At age 42, he was stricken with cancer, which he fought valiantly to overcome, and succeeded, but suffered from the devastating effects of it throughout the remainder of his life. Max worked for Wesley Green Roofing for over 40 years. He then partnered with Gloyd Green and formed Wesley Green Containers. He worked there until he retired. Max was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He married Vicki W. Shadoan and together they had three children. He also raised three stepchildren: Barbee Shadoan, Troy Shadoan and Deanna Shadoan.
Max was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Bessie Gene; brothers, Earldean and Robert C. (Bob) Hansen. He is survived by a daughter, Stacy Lee (Pat) Haley; sons, Wesley Earl and Jack Barry Hansen; sister, Marcella (Clair) Morley; granddaughters, Reanna and Oceania; grandsons, Shayden, Jeremy, Josh and Victor; great-grandson, Liam; and many nieces and nephews, who love him dearly.
Services will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St. Viewings will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m., and one hour prior to services on Wednesday.
Interment will be in Fountain Green Cemetery with full Military Honors.
