Maurine Elizabeth Christensen Dubois

On Monday March 6, 2023, Maurine Elizabeth Christensen Dubois departed on one last trip as she returned to her heavenly home to be with her parents, siblings, family and friends after a full and well lived life. She was the middle daughter and last surviving child of John and Myrtle Christensen. Her childhood was spent living in the towns of Lark and West Jordan Utah, where she learned the value of hard work, and the ability to care for others. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

On December 12, 1952, she married Martin Dubois, and together they raised a son and two daughters.

Maurine was a skilled seamstress, who enjoyed sharing that talent with others. When she was not seated at her sewing machine, you would find her with a crochet hook in her hand making hats, “Scrubbies” or some other project that she found.

Much of her later years of life were spent traveling with her younger sister and friends to various locations around the world. As well as the time spend together doing activities at the West Jordan Senior Center.

She is survived by two of her children; Daniel (Sheila) DuBois, Michelle (Gary) Sherman, 4 grandsons Robert DuBois, Christopher Sherman, Steven (Mary) Sherman, Alex Sherman & 2 great grandchildren Lincoln Sherman & Keira Sherman. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Carl Christensen, sisters Arlene Sotherland & Veda Adamson, Spouse Martin Dubois, daughter Julie Dubois, grandsons Derek DuBois & Michael DuBois.

The viewing will be Friday, March 10 from 6-8 pm, and the funeral service will be Saturday, March 11 at 11:00 am, with a viewing one hour before, all to be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Heritage 10th Ward building at 7645 South 3200 West, West Jordan, Utah 84084-2820.
