Matthew James Kirk

Words cannot express how lucky we were to have Matthew James Kirk in our life for the past 50 years. Those close to him were blessed with his quick wit, sarcasm, and amazing sense of humor.

Matthew died suddenly July 13, 2021. Preceded in death by his mother Susan Hale Bonner.

Matthew had a zest for life and a wicked sense of humor. He loved to spend time kicking back with his family and friends. Matt would leave you smiling and laughing for hours. He was such a smart-ass, and proud of it!

Matt's biggest joy was his son, Chance, whom he leaves behind as well as his wife Jennifer Greer Kirk, father Dale Bonner, siblings Mike Bonner (Marilyn), Cindy Bonner, and Karri Van Tongeren (Donny), and many adoring nieces and nephews.

We are so incredibly grateful to have had Matt in our lives, and he will be dearly missed.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, July 20th from 6-8 pm at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State St., Midvale, Utah 84047.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, July 21st at Murray Park, 296 E. Murray Park Ave., Murray, UT 84107.
