Matthew Luby Hart

Matthew Luby Hart, our loving son, brother, father and friend passed away July 31st, 2022 in Midvale, Utah.

Matt was born February 18th, 1977 to Donald Strong Hart and Shirley Ann Luby Hart in Salt Lake City, Utah. From his father he gained a great love of the outdoors, including hunting and fishing, which he later shared with his boys. He especially enjoyed the Uinta Mountains, which is where he developed his sense of spirituality.

He worked hard, cared deeply, and had a dry sense of humor which made for the best dad jokes. He was never afraid to share his knowledge, wisdom, and service to those around him.

Matt is preceded in death by his father and sister Brenda. He is survived by his mother, sisters, Pam Smith (Joel), Cindy Phillipe (Luis); and sons, Christopher Matthew Hart, Nicholas Craig Hart (Emily).

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, August 10th, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah. There will be a visitation prior to the service at 10:30 a.m.
