Mary Carolyn Mitchell Pedersen, 79, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016 due to complications with pneumonia.

Mary was born on October 17, 1937 in Gunnison, Utah to John Rex Mitchell and Mary Dean Borg Mitchell.

She married John T. Morby on June 1, 1955 (Divorced 1975). They had three children:

Debra Lyne Morby, September 5, 1956 to March 28, 1957

Steven Rex Morby, December 19, 1958 to April 5, 2015

Linda Jeanne Morby-Mitchell, August 25, 1960 to present

They moved from Bountiful, Utah to Coalville, Utah in 1969 to run Morby's Store until 1975.

Mary, Steve and Linda moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1976 where Mary went to school for two years to become a general secretary. When Mary moved back to Salt Lake City, Utah, she worked as a General Secretary for the Main Branch of Zions Bank for many years.

Mary married Ole Bent Pedersen on April 21, 1986. Ole previously had two children, Steven and Karen.

Mary suffered a brain injury in a car accident in 1986 and subsequently a lot of health problems pursued.

Mary has always been a very strong woman who bravely faced all her life's struggles.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda J. Morby-Mitchell, her grandson, Joshua Steven Morby, her brother, John Mitchell and his two daughters, Shawna and Sandra, her brother, Greg Mitchell and two sisters, JoAnn and Marilyn.

Although we are thankful that she is no longer in pain or limited by her physical condition, she will be greatly missed and will be in our hearts forever.

Graveside services will be held at the Coalville Cemetery on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 12 Noon. The procession will leave Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah at 11:00 a.m.
