Mary Jane Anderson Simons Campbell Jenkins

Mary Jane Anderson Simons Campbell Jenkins passed away peacefully on April 26, 2022 in Nephi, Utah at the age of 89 due to incidents of age.
Mary was born on November 18, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah to William Dalby Loftus Anderson and Venus Imogene Williams. She grew up in Salt Lake City and attended West High School until she married the love of her life, Robert Hunt Simons on July 28, 1950 at the age of 17. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan Utah Temple. Mary and Robert were married for 21 years and are the parents of five children. She married Dennis Dier Campbell in 1977 with whom she spent the next 18 years until his death in 1994. She married Barres Jenkins in 2003 and has remained in Nephi since his death in 2015.
Mary managed the food services operations at Oakridge Country Club in Farmington, Utah for many years and developed lasting friendships there with coworkers and patrons alike. She loved shopping and spent many years working in retail and sharing her love of fashion with those around her. Her career in retail has certainly contributed to an extensive shoe collection. She was a classy lady, and always did her best to look fabulous whenever she went out.
She had a knack for decorating and always made her home, wherever it was, into a haven. She was an artist with an eye for beauty and was particularly skilled at watercolor. She loved to share her talents in various ways, from creating posters for church functions to gifting her works of art to family and friends. Mary is also remembered for her dramatic readings and storytelling.
Mary loved her family completely and without reservation and made sure each of them knew it. She is a beautiful example of resilience and strength through adversity. She adored her only daughter, Gwen, and they shared a special bond. Gwen’s death in 2015 was a devastating loss for Mary, and we are sure they are enjoying being together again.
She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and held many callings throughout her life. She was always helping and serving others, and especially loved spending time with her family and many friends, some of whom she has known since childhood. She made friends wherever she went, and everyone loved her. She was blessed to have a loving support system of family, friends, neighbors, and ward family.
Mary is survived by 4 sons Dan (Sherri) Simons, Dirk (Diane) Simons, Mark (Joyce) Simons, and Joe Simons, as well as 27 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mary was greeted in Heaven by her sweetheart, Bob, their beloved daughter, Gwen DeValliere, her parents, and two older brothers, Ted and Dick, two great-grandbabies, and many other dear friends and loved ones.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 30th at 10:00 am at the Nephi 4/5th Ward Building at 500 North 335 East in Nephi, Utah with a viewing one hour prior.
