Mary Lou Allsop Ipson, passed from mortality on November 28, 2016. Through many trials and burdens, Mary was sanctified and purified while faithfully enduring to the end of her life's mission. She was born November 23, 1934 in St. George Utah, to John Reuel Allsop and Addrean Huntsman Tait. She was the third out of seven children. Her siblings are Ruemola, Leon, Lawen, Virginia, Joe and Linda.
Mary graduated from Jordan High School 1954. She married Joseph Dennis Ipson Sr. May 28, 1954, in the Salt Lake Temple. She met Dennis while she was in high school working at the Frostop fast food diner. It was love at first sight. Mary's favorite places to go were, Moon Lake and to her sister Ruemola's cabin to enjoy the great outdoors and view God's creations. She also enjoyed cooking for her family, bird watching, gardening and making ceramics. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She served faithfully in her church and completed many church callings. She had six children and fostered one.
Mary is survived by siblings Leon, LaWen and Linda, her children and their spouses: Dennis and Maxine Ipson, Justin and Sherri Jones, Kenneth and Marilyn Law, Bill and Abeth Ipson, Myron and Lori Vawdrey, Michael and Shannon Ipson, and Renson Marroquin, 25 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Joseph Dennis Ipson Sr. and siblings Ruemola, Virginia, Joe.
Dennis and Mary's greatest hopes and desires extend beyond this life of having their family bound together throughout the eternities.
A viewing will be at Anderson & Goff Mortuary, 11859 S. 700 E., Draper, Utah, Thurs., Dec. 1st from 6:00-8:00 PM. The funeral will be held Friday, Dec. 2nd at the Draper 2nd Ward, 1617 East 12700 South, Draper, Utah at 11:00 AM, with a viewing one hour prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
