Mary Luana Dunn Hansen 1933 � 2017 �Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.� Born on May 4, 1933 in Brigham City, Utah, Luana was the first child of John Edgar Dunn and Mary Marcell Stewart Dunn. She returned to her heavenly home on January 13, 2017, in Salt Lake City, Utah. The most important things in Luana�s life are her family and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Luana has been a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, living her life with great faith and devotion as she has served in numerous callings in the church. Luana served a full-time Public Relations mission for the church, in Washington, D.C., assisting in the organization and execution of receptions for diplomats from around the world. Her memories of friends and loved ones in the Butler 2nd, Butler 16th, Wasatch 5th and Cottonwood 2nd Wards have been a source of tremendous strength to her, over the years. Luana is the mother of six children: John Michael Hansen (Cassandra); David Boyd Hansen (Anne); Joy Hansen Bradley (Craig); Steven Craig Hansen (Jerry Vaculin); Diane Hansen Jensen (Kevin); Chris D. Hansen (Joan). She is the grandmother of eighteen, and great-grandmother of thirty-three. Married Boyd H. Hansen; later divorced. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 18th, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Cottonwood 2nd Ward chapel located at 2080 East 5165 South, Salt Lake City, UT. Friends and family are invited to gather between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m., prior to the service. Interment at Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 E. Bengal Blvd., Cottonwood Heights, UT. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the many care providers at home, St. Mark�s Hospital, IHC, and Life Care Center of Salt Lake City.
