Passed away April 20, 2022 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mary Anne was born February 6,1945 in Salt Lake City, along with her twin sister Margaret. They shared lots of laughter, mischief and fun together. Mary Anne was the oldest of six children with parents M. Leon and Arleene Hatch Walters.
She graduated from Jordan High School, where she met her sweetheart Lee J. Brindley. When Lee returned home from serving in the U.S. Navy they were married August 29,1964.
Lee and Mary Anne shared a life of love for 55 years. They lived in Utah, Idaho and California. Mary Anne loved the mountains, but the beach was her favorite place to be.
Mary Anne made many lifelong friends. She had quite the charismatic personality. Her love and concern for others was genuine and sincere.
Mary Anne loved animals all throughout her life. She rescued many and was never without pets. She enjoyed sports, her favorites were golfing, swimming and attending the Laker's basketball games. Mary Anne loved to read and was never without a book. She enjoyed movies from all eras and knew the lowdown on all the actors. She had an incredible memory. She will be remembered for her fabulous, witty sense of humor.
The world won't be the same without her and Heaven might not be the same with her.
The family expresses their gratitude and would like to thank those who took care of Mary Anne and her medical needs. A special thank you for her friend Joyce Melrose.
Survived by her children Michael Lee Brindley and Wendy Sue Cutshaw (Samuel), three grandchildren Elizabeth Ann Scullin, Devon Brindley, Samuel Cutshaw Jr., sisters Margaret (Richard) Reuling, Karen (Marc) Olesen, brothers Kevin (Teresa) Walters, Craig (Jodi) Walters, sister in law Melanie Walters, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, her husband, and brother Bryan Walters.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 13, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah. Interment at 2:00 p.m. at Camp Williams Veterans Cemetery, 17111 S. 1700 W. (Redwood Rd.), Bluffdale.
