Martin (Marty) Mika Jr.

Martin (Marty) Mika Jr., born February 9, 1944 to Mildred Conish and Martin Mika Senior. Beloved, dear husband of Laraine and father of Jerry and his wife Diane, Troy and Marty; passed at 3 am on October 22, 2020.

The best years were spent coaching little league / Babe Ruth baseball and football in Midvale, Utah. We made lifelong friendships during that time. We spent 20 wonderful years in the state of Washington, and moved back to Utah in 2012.

Marty spent his working years in the trucking industry business, Peterbilt and a short stint at Paccar. He retired from Peterbilt in Seattle, WA in 2012. Upon retirement in Utah he took up fishing with his best friend, Chuck Argyle. Marty tied the hooks and chuck cleaned the fish. Marty told people Chuck was his brother. Laraine called them, "The Two Grumpy Old Men."

Marty spent his whole life having a side hustle, aspiring to be a stand up comedian. Life with Marty was like a box of chocolates, you never knew what you were going to get.

Marty joined his beloved deceased mother Mildred Conish, father Martin Mika Sr. and brother Dennis.

Survived by his wife Laraine. sons, Jerry, Troy and Marty, and his grandchildren James, Nick, and his Fiancé Carrissa, Gracie, Teigan, Liam and Berkelyie, great-grandchildren; Lillee (child of Nick and Carrissa).

Also special in his life: Gerry and Lori, Alex and Will and their daughter Ella, Tess and Emma Grace.

Marty, beloved husband and father, you are loved and will be forever loved and missed.

There will be no services per Marty's request. Ashes will be spread by his best friend Chuck at a later date.
