Martha M. Blaimer passed away the morning of May 12, 2024, age 84. Martha was born in 1940 to Chotaro and Tsuyako Miyagishima in Copperfield, Bingham Canyon, Utah.
She grew up in Copperfield where her family ran a boarding house. She attended and graduated from Bingham High School, where she was involved in many school activities. Martha earned a bachelors degree from the University of Utah School of Nursing in 1962. Most of her career was spent at Holy Cross Hospital, as a registered nurse. She retired about 2006.
She met and married Ludwig S. Blaimer. They lived in and around Salt Lake City, until they settled in Midvale, where they raised two children. Martha loved all animals; she would always share fond memories of all the pets she had throughout her life. In her spare time she loved to dig around in her garden. When not engaged in that, she would spend her time reading a mystery novel or shopping in any type of store.
Martha always looked forward to vacationing, whether it be camping or traveling abroad with family and friends. Favorite places she travelled were Germany, Italy, Japan, and a cruise to Alaska.
Martha is survived by her two children, Bernice and Jae, as well as several cousins, nephews, and nieces. Preceded in death by her husband, Ludwig; sister Amy Gonzales; brother Russel Miyagishima; baby brother Eugene.
