Marsha Lynne McShane Christensen passed away July 6, 2021 after a long hard battle with cancer. She waited until she was surrounded by her family which was what mattered most to her in life.
Born October 6, 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ernest and Helen McShane. Marsha loved with her whole heart. All who were lucky enough to be loved by her know this. She showed heartfelt empathy, compassion and generosity to those struggling or in need.
Marsha and her Boo, Eric, were married April 26th and just celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary. She is also survived by her daughter, Leisha, son-in-law, Sam, 12 grandchildren, and her one year old great granddaughter. She had waited her whole life to become a great grandmother and wanted nothing more than to see her grow. She was so proud of her family and that is why she kept fighting to stay with us as long as she did. She will be dearly missed!
Marsha had a way with words. She was an eloquent writer of poetry and short stories. She loved to debate, philosophize, and was passionate about any injustices. She had a quick wit and a contagious laugh. She was a loving and loyal wife, proud mother, grandmother, and devoted friend.
The family wishes to thank Inspiration Home Health and Hospice for helping keep her as comfortable as possible in the place she loved most which was her home. Because of this she was able transition with gentle tender care from those who loved her most, her family. A special thanks to her hospice nurse, Nicole Holmes, who went above and beyond with her extraordinary bedside manner and emotional support. We are forever grateful for her compassion.
At Mom's request, there will be a private service. You were all a very special part of her life, and we appreciate all your thoughts and prayers, and the kindnesses that you have shown her during this time.
