Marriette Lydia Hanson Peralta July 8, 1955 - April 22, 2016 (age 60) Returned to the arms of our loving Father in Heaven to continue her work healing those in need, as the angel she is. Marriette was born in the Bronx, New York in 1955. The most compassionate, healing, and caring woman. She was the eldest of 3 sisters, there began her loving and protective nature. She went to St. Michael's Elementary school, St. Agnes High School, and Graduated from Queens College City University of New York with a Bachelors Degree. She worked for DCFS in Utah for several years. She worked for the homeless shelter as an in-take case worker as well as drug treatment facilities as a counselor. She lived to serve, was always looking out for and putting the needs of everyone else, first. So incredibly selfless she is the purest and absolute definition of unconditional love. When Marriette was little, about 2 years old, her grandmother was watching her While her mother was at Work. On that particular night Mariettes grandmother couldn't get her to stop crying. She took her to look out the window and that night was a full moon. Her grandmother promised her she could have the moon if she stopped crying. It worked. When her mom got home from work, Marriette started pointing to the sky and motioning for her mother to get her the moon. Marriette's mom looked at her grandmother and said "Did you promise her the moon?" She said "yes", and from that day forward whenever Marriette was upset, her mom used to tell her pretty soon you will have the moon and she would feel better. The reason her sister remembered this is because now she really can touch the moon and she is truly happy now, at peace. She is no longer in pain; she can run, play and fly with no Strain at all. Marriette was an avid reader, with a love of English. She also thoroughly enjoyed writing, oftentimes writing stories for friends and family members. Leaving wonderful journals about our childhood experiences and accomplishments. She had a great love of art, animals and nature. She loved everyone and her hand was always outstretched to those who needed a quick Word of advice, a hug, or a lifetime of knowledge and love. Those who came in contact With her will never forget her grace. She has two sisters Nancy Peralta and Peggy Martemucci. An adoring niece Megan (James) and five beautiful children; Matt (Alicia), Sean (Tawny), Aileen (Mike), Mandy (Adam), and Adriel (Keirstin). Her little people and the absolute light of her life her amazing grandchildren Collin, Vanessa, Lydia, Mateo A., Kale, Baliegh, Alexzys, Bryan, Mateo B., Ayden, and soon to be Aaron. We will miss her with every fiber of our beings, but within those same fibers she Weaved her strength, compassion, and knowledge. Her guidance during her time on this earth will last through generations to come.
