Marrel J Hardman

It is with a deep sadness that the family of Marrel J Hardman announce his passing after a brief illness, on Friday August 18th, 2017, at the age of 71 years. Marrel is lovingly remembered by Jill, his wife, sweetheart, and best friend of 48 years. Their three firstborn sons; Lance (Ann), Don, and Kyle (Trina), and grandsons whom always call him "pop pop." He will also be dearly missed by his brothers and sisters, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends. Marrel had lived his life as a faithful member of the LDS church and enjoyed all of his callings. For more than 40 years he worked at Kennecott as a brakeman on the trains and then later as a truck operator. He always strived to provide the best of life for his family, and was capable of accomplishing anything he set his mind to. As someone who could easily talk to anyone, he was affectionately deemed "Mr. Friendly" by his sons. And always he would use his know how to help others. He was an avid hunter and skilled marksman, he enjoyed playing golf and more often than not, you could find him out in his garden. He is preceded in death by his parents, J W. & June Hardman, brother Monty, and brothers-in-law Kelly and Bob.

A gathering in celebration of Marrel's life will be held this Friday from 6 pm until 8 pm at Anderson & Goff Mortuary in Draper located at 11859 S. 700 E. Funeral services presided over by Bishop Olsen will be held the following day on Saturday, August 26th at 11 am in the LDS chapel on 14400 So. Redwood Rd. with interment in the Bluffdale Cemetery thereafter. Any friends or family who wish to do so may arrive one hour prior to services.
