Marlin P. �Woody� Woodland passed away peacefully on May 16, 2016. Woody was born May 22, 1927 in Ogden Utah, to Thomas Clifford Woodland and Maria May Perry. He was the youngest of four boys. He graduated from Box Elder High School in 1945 and joined the U.S. Navy shortly before the end of WW II. He returned home and attended Utah State University where he served as Sophomore Class Vice President, Student Council Publicity Chairman and a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He was voted Outstanding Student his senior year. He graduated in 1950 with a degree in Business Administration. He married Lorraine Hill in 1952 and they had two daughters. They later divorced and Woody married Nellee Jean Abraham Wood, a widow with four children. Two more daughters were born to their family. Over his life Woody worked for Husky Oil, Hercules Corporation, the LDS Church and the University of Utah Parking Services. Dad always considered himself a loyal Ute Fan. He was also voted "Number One Fan" at Olympus High School because of his years of loyal support at their sporting events. Dad was a life-long member of the LDS church having served in various callings including at the baptistry at the Salt Lake Temple. Woody is survived by his 8 children, Karen (Paul) West, Kathy (Scott) Hayden, Chris Rossi, James (Christine) Wood, Robert (Lisa Badger) Wood, Ruth (Tom) Metcalf, Elizabeth (Mark) Larson, Edie (Travis) Morgan and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his three brothers, Duane, Orville and Clifford and his wife Nellee. Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 26th at�11:00�am.�There will be a viewing�Wednesday May 25th 6-8�pm, as well as the day of the funeral�from 9:30-10:30�am. All services will be held at the Sun Ridge Ward Chapel 5422 S. Sarah Jane Drive (5315 W) Kearns UT. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial�at 1:15�pm.
