Marlin Fairbourn, age 89, beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather, passed away of natural causes surrounded by those who loved him.
Marlin was born to Alma and Ora Fairbourn on March 26, 1932 in Crescent, Utah.
He attended Jordan High School and graduated from Utah State in 1954.
Marlin joined the Air Force and ended his military career as a Retired Lieutenant Colonel.
He married Reggie Flammer on September 17, 1953 in the Logan Temple. After the death of Reggie, Marlin married Nan Adams on April 24, 2009.
Marlin was a devoted husband and father. He developed a love for farming from working with his dad on the family farm. He was a successful rancher and an incredible Math and Science teacher. He was a Vice Principal and then a Principal of Union Jr. High and Eastmont Jr. High. Marlin ended his professional career as an Assistant Superintendent of Jordan District.
He served as a Bishop, Stake President, Young Men's General Board and Mission President of the Hawaii Honolulu Mission 1992 - 1995. He was also a sealer at the Jordan River and Draper Temples. Marlin was well known for his sense of humor and his countless unselfish acts of service and generosity.
Marlin is survived by his wife Nan, sons: David, Brad (Marcie), Todd (Kim), daughter Vicki (Craig Houmand), grandchildren, siblings: Alan, Glen (Helen) and Linda (Noal). He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters and by his loving wife, Reggie.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021, 11:00 a.m.at the Crescent 30th Ward, 89 East 11000 South, Sandy, UT. Viewing: Friday, November 26, 2021, 6 to 8 p.m., Anderson & Goff Mortuary, 11859 S. 700 E., Draper, UT and preceding the funeral services from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the chapel. Burial: Crescent Cemetery.
