Mark Buchanan Hahn, 78, passed away in the early morning of January 20, 2024. He spent his last few days surrounded by his family and enjoying any and every yummy treat that he wanted.
He was born on July 24, 1945 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Rudy & Naomi Hahn. He went to Highland High school until he transferred to Hillcrest High to be with his sweetheart (losing his license only days later and having to be driven to school by his parents). Mark later married his sweetheart, Shawnee Lee Nuttall, and they have been married for 58 wonderful years.
Mark had many great hobbies. He was an avid bowler, spending many Tuesday & Thursday nights league bowling with his wife and friends. He loved to golf, that is, until his wife beat him! But Mark was best known for his love of riding his Harley motorcycle. Riding on the open road with his wife behind him, her arms wrapped around him, was one of his favorite places to be. He had many special friends that joined him riding on many motorcycle trips. Mark’s love of Harley Davidson also led to a wonderful Harley Barbie collection.
In 1951, Mark’s father opened Rudy’s Key & Repair Service which became a prominent business in Sugarhouse. Mark took over Rudy’s Keys in 1978 which allowed him many years of working with his dad, followed by many years of working with his sons. Even grandsons took a turn helping out at the key shop.
Mark’s life has been full. He was blessed with a wonderful wife, Shawnee Lee, three sons; Mike (Dawn), Dustin (Jenn), Ryan (Hillary), five grandsons, and two beautiful granddaughters who will all miss him very much. He is also survived by his brother Quin Hahn, and his sister Annette Hahn Keiser.
Our hearts are full at knowing what a joyous reunion it must have been as he was reunited with his parents Rudy & Naomi Hahn, and his mother-in-law and father-in-law Donna and Roger Hansen.
Shawnee would like to give a special thanks to Ryan and Hillary for all their help with Mark over the past year.
