Mark Harold Birtcher left this earth on December 6, 2015 and was welcomed into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father.

Mark was born May 12, 1980 to Gary L. Birtcher and Susan K. Green. He graduated from Taylorsville High School where he played soccer. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was an Eagle Scout. He was currently employed with Wheeler Machinery. Mark loved to play softball, camp, fish and ride motorcycles. Married Marianne McAfee, later divorced.

Mark loved spending time with his niece and nephew, who he absolutely adored. Zoo time was the greatest!

People were drawn to his contagious personality. Mark was blessed with many lifelong friends and was extremely generous and a good friend to everyone.

Survived by beloved parents, brothers Cody (Brenda) and Tyler, niece and nephew Addison and Grayson Birtcher, grandmother Beverly A. Green, aunt and uncle Shelly and Larry Walters, aunt Shana Savage, cousins Landon (Keela), Chris (Cara), Lachel (Garrett), and uncle Brent (Emily) Birtcher, and extended family. Preceded in death by Ralph H. Green (grandfather), and Harold and Florence Birtcher (grandparents).

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bennion 14th Ward, located at 6540 South 2700 West, Taylorsville, UT. Viewing will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 11th at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St., Midvale, UT, and 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church prior to the funeral services. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South.

We would like to express our love for all those friends and family who have shown us so much love and support at this very difficult time.
