Marjorie Cowan Peterson, our dear mother and grandmother, has returned to her Heavenly Father. She passed away peacefully at the Laurel Grove Assisted Living center in Nephi, Utah. She was born November 10, 1924 to Joseph William Cowan and Olive Emeline Brown in Nephi Utah. She graduated from Juab High School and married her sweetheart Raymond Peterson. After their marriage, he joined the navy and they moved to San Diego where they were stationed for three years. The time spent there was special to them and they had friendships that lasted for many years. They moved back to Utah where their marriage was solemnized in the Manti temple. They lived in Midvale where they raised their five children. She loved being with her children and grandchildren and had many great adventures together, especially at Lake Powell. After retirement, they moved to Beaver Dam, Arizona where they enjoyed many great times and travels with their friends. During this time Marge and Ray served in the St. George Temple together for 18 years. She Loved the Savior and held many positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We will miss her.
She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond, brothers Reese and Bill, sisters Joyce and Bonnie, daughter Linda Kitchen, son Ralph Peterson, grandchildren, Dustin Kitchen and Michelle Larson. She is survived by her children Gloria (Larry) Bryan, Jackie (Randy) Rodgers, and Duane (Sharon) Peterson; 23 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
