Marjorie Helen Osoro, our beautiful loving mom, grandma, and great grandma, left this earth on October 6th, 2018. Mom was born June 25, 1923 in Santa Barbara, CA. She was raised by her two loving parents, Francis and Gladys Quinn, alongside her sister Frankie, whom she loved dearly. Mom met our handsome, charismatic dad, Johnny, and were married on January 3, 1941 in Salt Lake City. They were together for 69 years, until his passing in 2010. They made their home in Copperton, Utah where they raised all six of us: Jon Robert (Karol), James (Laura), Christine Holder (Craig), Billy (Marlene), Jerry (Debbie) and Jeanie Johnson (Mike).
Our home had an open door policy, and everyone was always welcome. Mom welcomed all of our friends into her home, and would sit and talk for hours with us while she sipped on a cup of coffee. Mom was the happiest when she was surrounded by her family. She was blessed with 16 grandchildren, and 35 great grandchildren.
Mom was a master of crocheting, knitting, and baking the best rolls, which none of us have managed to duplicate the amazing taste. We would often wake up listening to the sounds of her playing the piano, early in the morning. Mom loved to travel, see new places, and meet new people who immediately became her friends. Everyone loved mom and dad, and we know they loved everyone just as much.
In the last few years, Mom was blessed to have been cared for by an amazing group of people at Beehive Homes. We would like to thank them for their devoted and loving care of our Mom. They loved her as if she was their own Mother. We would also like to thank the staff at Encompass Home Health and Hospice Care for their dedicated service throughout her final years. A special thanks to Dr. Sharon Strong for her concern and special care.
