Marilyn Kaye Peterson

Our beloved mother and grandmother passed away on September 4, 2017, after a long and hard battle with cancer. Marilyn worked many places in her life. She was a CNA, she worked at Discover Card, many retail stores, and retired from IHC. Her true love was her children and grandchildren.

Marilyn was born in Gunnison, Utah on December 13, 1947 to Ralph and Francis Bernice Peterson. She married Gordon Peterson in the Salt Lake Temple (divorced). She is preceded in death by her parents and two children, Mickey and Lisa. She leaves behind three children, Penny and Chris Scarlet, Tony and Tricia Peterson, and Ervan and Michelle Peterson; grandchildren, Lisa Scarlet, Tristin, Tanner, and Takoda Peterson, and many brothers and sisters. We know you are in a better place now and that you will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 15, at 11 a.m. at the Western Hills 1st Ward, 5380 West 5400 South, where there will be a viewing Thursday from 6-8 p.m., and again Friday one hour prior to the service. Interment, Taylorsville Cemetery.
