Marilyn Dee Crawford Fillmore, daughter of Charles N. and Dora Augason Crawford, left her beloved family and home in Draper, UT on April 30, 2021. She was born on September 12, 1931 in Bingham Canyon, UT. She was a lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities. Marilyn attended Brigham Young University where she earned a BA degree and also met her future husband, L. Reid Fillmore. They were married in the Manti Temple on June 1, 1953. She is the mother of 3 sons and 4 daughters. Between her early marriage years in California and later years in Utah, she taught school for 21 years. Her husband's Air Force career, her children's missions and professional assignments, a senior couple temple service mission for her church, and her own lifelong "itchy feet" took her to 17 foreign countries and all 50 of the United States. She is survived by her husband, all of her 7 children and their spouses - Randall Reid (Dianna Wiersema), Brian Gail (Reida Bench), Linda Kaye (David Jones), Laura Ann (David Leavitt), Alison Dee (Bradley Dymond), Holly Jean (Joseph Strong), and Gary Lee (Jennifer Wood) - 37 grandchildren and their 23 spouses, 79 great-grandchildren, and her sisters-in-law Sherry Crawford, Susan Crawford, and Janice Brady. Marilyn will be sorely missed.
As a family, we thank the doctors and nurses at Lone Peak Hospital who gave Marilyn such expert care. We thank the many friends who visited and cheered her up, almost daily, over the past few weeks (and for many years before that). We are especially grateful to her grandchildren who helped to make this difficult time as comfortable as possible for her and watched over her like angels. We are also so appreciative to Jacque, Miwa, Naomi, Veronica, and Ashley from Lighten Home Health and Hospice whose loving care comforted Marilyn and reassured us all. And we thank Anderson & Goff Mortuary for guiding us through this tender time, and sensitively handling Marilyn's funeral preparations.
That we may honor Marilyn's longstanding request, there will not be a viewing. However, those who wish to bid her farewell and visit with her family are invited to a visitation from 6:00 until 7:45 pm on Friday, May 7, 2021 at the Anderson & Goff Mortuary, 11859 S. 700 E., Draper, UT 84020. On Saturday, May 8, 2021, friends and family may visit from 10:00 until 10:45 am at the Corner Canyon Stake Center, 13366 S. 1300 E., Draper, UT (in the multi-purpose room, north side). The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 11:00 am. The funeral service may also be viewed virtually on the internet at

. After clicking on the link, click on "View", then on "Continue" (no need to type in a name). The funeral service itself will not open up until a few minutes before 11:00 am. If a video is still playing, enjoy it. It will be instantly replaced when the funeral service goes live. After the service, Marilyn will be laid to rest at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park South Valley, 13001 S. 3600 W., Riverton, UT 84065. At Marilyn's request, we ask that in lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Humanitarian Fund of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Marilyn loves flowers, but people even more. Use of facemasks is encouraged and appreciated at the visitations and funeral service.
