Marietta Pond

Marietta Pond graduated from this life on September 1, 2020. She was born August 27, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Eugene Calvin and Helen Pond. She is survived by her children Sandi Bown (Ryan), Jennifer Ross, Rebecca Chadburn (Jeremy), Michael Ross (Lindsay), Robert Ross (Holly), 20 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held in her honor for family and friends at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park (3401 S Highland Dr, Salt Lake City, UT 84106) on September 6, 2020 at 10:00 AM.

Marietta graduated from Skyline High School in 1965 and lived most of her life in Salt Lake City. Her most valued possessions in life were her children. She enjoyed taking them to the mountains and loved spending summers traveling the country. Her favorite vacations were family reunions at Hyrum Dam Reservoir. She also enjoyed family swimming parties at the condo. She enjoyed spending time working in the garden and tried to pass that love along to her children with little success. She had a great work ethic and was always doing something. Some of her favorite things to eat were tomato cucumber sandwiches, zucchini soup, zucchini bread and peach cobbler with homemade ice cream.

Marietta enjoyed her grandchildren and when she was with them she dedicated all of her attention to them. She would teach them songs to sing and play the piano. She has a great love for her Savior and loved serving him. She spent years serving in the young women's program and especially enjoyed being camp director. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister. We love you Mom.
