Marie Gordon

Marie was the middle daughter and child of Melvin Joseph Scott and Gladys Capson. She was born in Murray Utah and spent her childhood and teen years in Midvale Utah. She married her sweetheart Lynn James Gordon on November 25, 1955. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Jordan River Temple.

She worked her teenage years at Lyric Theater and later at Draper Drug, and then Deseret Pharmaceutical. She held many church callings, including a mission at Deseret Industries. She enjoyed walking, golf, trap shooting and travel.

She is preceded in death by her sweetheart, Lynn Gordon; her children, Geri Giles, Kim Hooser and Mark Gordon; her parents; siblings, Marvin Scott, Ina Cunningham and Leonard Scott. She is survived by her grandchildren, Cerise and Maria Elena Tucker; Tony, Ashley, Jaiden and Braxton Giles; Shylo, Nate and Eve Bseiso; Shantele, Trinity, Leo and Susie Kofoed, Raymond and Willow Kynaston; Mckenzie, Matt, Logan and Linkin Davis; son in law, Terry Giles; brother in law, Keith Cunningham; sister, Elaine and Von Wallgren; sister in law, Norma Erickson; many friends, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 15, 2016 at 11 a.m. with a visitation at 10 a.m. at the Corner Canyon Stake Center, 13366 South 1300 East, Draper, Utah. There will be a visitation on Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah. Interment, Draper City Cemetery.
