Maria Capson

Born in Rotterdam, Holland on September 5, 1931 to Katrina and Arie van Vliet.

Married Robert W. Capson on April 20, 1950. Together they raised 7 children.

She was a fantastic seamstress and loved all types of needlework. She was skilled at baking and cooking and took many under her wing to pass on her knowledge.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Shelly, her grandson, Matt, her parents, her brother, and all of her sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Robert, and her children, Robert Jr. (Judy), Rodney (Janice), Gay Johns (Mike), Kevin (Connie), Lori Millett (Matt), Mike (Tami), also by many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored.

An open house will be held in her honor on Friday, August 14, at the Midvale Masonic Lodge, 7689 So. Center Square, Midvale, from 1:00-2:00 p.m., where there will be time for reminiscing with a speaker and and a prayer, and a light meal to follow.

Her children would like to give their dad a special thanks for the love and care he gave her over the past 65 years, but especially the 24/7 care that has been given over the last few long hard years. We love you.
