Mae Frances Quintana

Mae F. Quintana Mae Frances, born November 8, 1939, to Alfred CoCo and Theodora Teddy Sanchez. She passed away on October 2, 2016, surrounded by loved ones. Heaven gained a beautiful angel in her, an example of pure, unconditional love and compassion. No matter the role she played in ones life, the bond was special beyond words. On December 1, 1956, Mae married her childhood sweetheart, her first and only love, Jose (Jr.) Quintana. Together they raised 7 children, and she leaves behind a legacy of 20 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild with another on the way. Mae devoted all of her 76 years on Earth to her family. Mae's love of people extended far beyond her family. For 30 years she was a social worker for the Utah Department of Human Services, Division of Aging & Adult Services. Mae had a special place in her heart for all living things--especially her dogs. She was also an amazing cook and enjoyed sharing with anyone who entered her home. Mae is survived by her husband, Jr.; her children: Ray (Carla), Yvonne (Mike), Tim (Jaime), Bonnie (Gary), Michael (Tina), Lori and Mark (Rita), her (great) grandchildren and many loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Danny, Jay and Kenny, and great-grandson, Jesse. Mae will be remembered for her kindness, strength, gentle nature and love. Her children feel blessed to have had the best mother anyone could hope for. She welcomed everyone with open arms and a listening ear. Mae was a number one confidant and favored by many. As an amazing matriarch of our family, we thank her for all our beautiful memories! Special thanks to employees of Silverado Hospice and the VA Hospital for their care of our dearest Mae. The family would also like to thank everyone who has called, messaged and visited as she transitioned from this life. A funeral mass, in her honor, will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 9757 S. 1700 E., Sandy, on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 7:00 pm, visitations held from 6:00-7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at Utah Veteran Cemetery & Memorial Park, 17111 S. Camp Williams Rd, Bluffdale, on Friday, October 7, 2016 11:00 am, visitation held from 10:00-11:00.
