Madge B. Jeremy

Madge B. Jeremy our beloved mother, sister, grandmother and friend passed away on January 29, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born January 19, 1934 in Murray, Utah to Joseph C. and Ada Haun. She graduated from Jordan High School and went on to marry Richard E. Maxfield, they had 4 beautiful children together; later divorced. 

She worked as a cashier at Smith's Food King, and then Lorraine's Floral Shop making beautiful floral arrangements. This led her to be the Manager of KD Craft, a job that suited her amazing creativity. She was extremely talented, there wasn't anything she couldn't create and make. She made many amazing things and won various awards for her talent. 

She married David A. Jeremy on September 14, 1964 and her family of 4 children became a family of 8 children. She was a very loving mother to all of them. She also loved taking care of her yard and always kept it immaculate. She was a huge sports fan, especially of the Utah Jazz. She watched or attended nearly every game. She made many friends and enjoyed getting together to play games or cards. She was always independent and lived by herself until she was 91 years old. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph C. Haun and Ada Shaw Haun; brothers Ray, Joe, and Bill Haun; husband David A. Jeremy; son Brad Maxfield; and grandsons Jared Mickelsen; Nathen Wheeler. She is survived by brothers Brent (Kathy), Jim (Pat) Haun; daughters Kathy (Garry) Mickelsen, Pamela (Rodney) Scuderi; daughter-in-law Kathy Maxfield; son Chad (Heike) Maxfield; stepsons David, Mike (Louise), Kevin, and Bruce (Jenni) Jeremy. She had 19 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 7th at Anderson and Goff Mortuary, 11859 South 700 East, Draper, Utah at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held one hour before from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Interment to follow services at Sandy City Cemetery.
