Lydia Delgado Trujillo passed away peacefully on October 25th of Alzheimer's Disease at the age of 93. Lydia was born August 3, 1926 in Dividend, Utah to the late Tiburcia and Alejo Delgado and was the sixth child of twelve. Lydia was a second mother to her sister and brothers ever since she was a very young girl. She retired from Pyke Manufacturing after 19 years of service. Despite her busy schedule, family and friends were Lydia's passion. Her telephone bill was proof of that for many years. Thank goodness when the unlimited calling plans were born. Her claim to fame were her sons and grandsons. They were her precious treasures and she would often say they were "her life." She is predeceased by her adoring husband George Trujillo of 44 years, her parents and brothers, Pedro, Salvador, Ignacio, Eleno, Henry, Herbert, sister, Cecilia, and stepson, Robert Trujillo.
She is survived by her sons, David Delgado (Richard) and Brent Roberts (Shannon), stepdaughter, Jeannie Ryall (Frank), stepson, George "Danny" Trujillo, grandsons, Anthony Roberts (Ben), Christopher Roberts (Skye), and Landon Roberts, sister, Mary Delgado, brothers, Nick Delgado (Ruth), Ross Delgado (Linda), Jesse Delgado (Tina), and Ignacio Delgado (Linda), along with many adored nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Holladay Health Care and Canyon Hospice who did an outstanding job of caring for her for the past 3 years.
On November 4th, there will be a family program, celebrating her life and Rosary at 10 am, followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:30 am at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church, 624 Lennox St., Midvale. A viewing will be held just prior, at the Church from 9 am to 10 am. In lieu of flowers, please bring a card or note with some favorite memories of Lydia.
Interment will be at Sandy City Cemetery, 700 East 9000 South, Sandy.
