Coalville, Utah - Luella B. Judd, age 84, died of cancer August 23, 2021.
Luella Blonquist Judd was born on October 19, 1936, in an apartment in the top of the Summit Merc in Coalville, Utah. She was born to Dorothy Vernon and Chester Earl Blonquist. She went to the North Summit Elementary School and High School graduating in 1954. She graduated from LDS Business College and went to work for Dunn and Bradstreet in Salt Lake City. She married her high school sweetheart Tom W. Judd in Salt Lake Temple on May 24, 1956, after he returned from Korea. Luella and Tom lived in Salt Lake for four years, returning to Coalville in 1960 where she spent the remainder of her life. She worked many years with her father and brothers at the Summit Mercantile as the bookkeeper.
Luella always took pride in her home and loved working in her yard right up to the very end. She was a devoted wife and mother, dedicated to caring for an ailing husband. She was a member of the L.D. S. church, where she taught Primary and Sunday School.
At her request she wanted only a graveside service and will be laid to rest by the side of her parents in the Coalville Cemetery.
Her services will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2021, with a viewing at 10:00 A.M. at the Coalville Stake Center, followed by the graveside service at 12:00 Noon.
She is survived by her husband Tom; three sons Michael (Robin), and Russell (Loreli) of Coalville, Tom (Leah), Echo, and one daughter Meredith (Mark Davis), Jacksonville, Florida. She also is survived by eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren and her brothers Jim (Donna Jean), Coalville, and Spug (Lynette), Kamas, and one sister Linda (Kent Garfield), Coalville.
