Lucy Catherine Bills Goodrich was born May 10, 1920 in Vernal, Utah to David Lewis Bills and Ella Donohoo Bills, and died on October 21, 2018. She grew up in LaPoint, Utah. She married Junius Charles Goodrich May 31, 1939 and moved to Sandy, Utah, in 1943.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, husband, brother Clarence and his wife Edna. She is survived by her three children, Lewis (Martha), Kent (Doris) and Eloise, her grandchildren, Lisa (Steven), Glenn (Lucy), Mark (Sharon), Carl (Heather), and JoSelle; her great-grandchildren Christopher, Daniel, Alexis, and Evan, and by her many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her dedicated work as wife and mother, she was an administrative assistant for 25 years at the Redwood Investment Company founded by Leland Swaner.
Many a new baby has slept warm and safe under a quilt she made. Many a garden and flower has bloomed and thrived under her care. And many a friend or family member has been comforted by the love, kindness and support she has given. She was of great heart and a strong determination. She will be greatly missed and impossible to replace by all who knew and loved her.
An informal gathering of friends and family will be held Saturday, Oct. 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St., Midvale. Private family interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
