In loving memory of Lorraine Bowen Vernon

A beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away peacefully Sunday, November 24th, shortly after celebrating her 91st birthday. She was at her home with her sweet husband and family by her side.

Lorraine was born in Park City, Utah on November 18th, 1928. She graduated from North Summit High School where she was involved in many activities. Her favorite subjects in school were chorus and home economics. She was the teacher's pet in physical education.

She married the love of her life, Clifton Vernon, on April 21, 1948 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Her talents included cooking, cleaning, sewing, gardening and decorating her home. She was known to be a very service oriented woman towards her family, church callings and community.

Lorraine is survived by her beloved husband, 5 children, Mike (Shaye), Dan (Mary), Allen (Dana), Deanna (Ken), Carolyn (Scott) and many grandchildren.

A viewing will be held in her honor, Monday, December 2nd, from 10:30 to 12:30 at the Hoytsville LDS Church, 1095 S. Hoytsville Road, Coalville, UT. Following the viewing, there will be a short memorial service at 1:00 p.m. at the church for all family and friends.
