Lora Lee Larsen Holt was born January 19, 1931 in Pittsburgh, California. She was raised in Colorado and Utah by her parents Leonard A, and Nellie Arter Larsen. In her youth she spent a lot of time with her maternal grandparents in Boulder, Colorado. In her teens the family lived in St. George where she graduated from Dixie High School. She attended college in Price, Utah.
At the age of twenty she married Hugh Holt, a farmer from Enterprise, Utah. They made their home in Enterprise where her two girls were born. She held many callings in her church some of which required travel to other small towns in Nevada and Utah.
The family moved to Salt Lake City in 1962 where her son was later born. Once again she held many church callings including those in the ward and stake Relief Society presidencies. Her unfailing testimony in Jesus Christ was the guiding principal of her life.
Mom enjoyed the beauty of nature, spending time in the mountains, walking her dogs, and tending her flower garden.
She is survived by her children Junell (Robert) Bott, Sheryl (Cory) Stark and Jason (Jennifer) Holt. She also leaves 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren, with two more on the way. She is also survived by her brothers Jay, Eric, and John T. Larsen and her sister Orilla Van Orman. She is remembered with love by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hugh, her parents, her brothers Leonard and Raleigh, and her sister Tanis Hase.
The family wishes to thank Trevor and the staff of Alta Ridge memory care for taking care of mother over the years.
The family previously held a private memorial service.
